Wow! It's really hard to believe it's 2011 already folks! My my I have been neglecting my blogging these past few months. There's tons to catch up on but I have no clue where to begin! lol!
Baseball Season ended with a bang, my son made it to All Stars. They didn't win but they made it to 3 of the games before they were counted out. It was fantastic!
Halloween rocked! Even I got dressed up, as Elastic Girl! Get it *wink*
Thanksgiving was pleasant and full of goodies. However we were good this year and kept the sweets to a bare minimum.
Nick's birthday weekend started off with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows premiere. WOW! What can I say, I was blown out of my seat and I can't wait for part 2! *Crossing fingers that J.K. Rowling decides to continue the HP series and writes another book* Then Saturday we went to Camp Moore to watch the Civil War reenactments and camps, then Sunday to the Louisiana Renaissance Festival which is always a particularly wonderful treat!
Christmas couldn't have been anymore perfect if I had asked for it to be. Nick got everything he wanted, and we got the satisfaction of watching his face light up as he played with his toys & games. Our gift you ask, it's simple...Family time, its the most wonderful gift that anyone can give or receive in this hectic world today. It's always a blessing to spend time with those you love.
Now the not so great part. The holidays and cold weather brought 20 extra pounds to my door, but January so far has seen 16 of those leave by the back door...Let's hope I can push the other 4 out before February so we can get back on the base pounds.
As for the New Year it was rockin'! Spending it with my boy's, watching the fireworks via computer (it was to rainy for fireworks that night here) and talking about all the things we want to do in 2011...
Which brings me to a fabulous idea! I'm going to take some time this week and make a list of all the things I want to do or accomplish in 2011 ...Goals not resolutions that I know if I try hard enough I can achieve.
Why goals instead of traditional resolutions you ask? Let me ask you, have you ever kept any of the resolutions you've made? I'll tell you straight forward I haven't, not a single one of them. But goals, goals are different. Goals are something we are taught from our youth to work for, and we're taught with hard work we can achieve those goals. So for me, and I'm pretty certain I'm not alone, goals set me on the road to accomplishing success. Make sense?
Alright, tis late on this dreary cold night and I have loads of work to do tomorrow so I need to call it a night, and go stretch out with some Twilight and plain air popped popcorn... Goodnight to all.
Peace be with you all...

A new year...a new me?
Wow, it's hard to believe it's a new year already, 3 months into it to be exact! Even more surprising is the fact I haven't been blogging at all. I've been so pre-occupied with starting the new year off right, getting our i's dotted and our t's crossed legally, and trying to get my health back on the fast track that I lost track of time.
Overall it's been a fairly decent new year so far. The family chaos has quieted down since we changed our cell numbers in January and have refused to take part in any of the family's chaos.
The job market seems to have been on a steady decline however, which has meant making ends meat hasn't been an easy task...well not that it was ever easy but it certainly was easier then now.
As for writing, I've been working on a couple projects that I hope to have ready to share soon. I plan on finally developing my writing website so I can upload & share my works with the blogger world and beyond. Who knows I may experiment with my own blog over there since I've been learning the tricks of the trade building blogs for wordpress...oops, wait, I can say wordpress here can't I?
So tell me blogger world, how has the first two months of your year been?
I'm anxious to read your reply's...
until then may peace be with you All!
